Pessaries at Health Dynamix
A pessary is a small, removable device placed inside the vagina to support the pelvic organs. Made from soft, medical-grade materials like silicone, it’s a simple, non-surgical tool used to help manage pelvic organ prolapse and certain types of urinary incontinence. Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when structures such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum shift downward and press into the vaginal wall. A pessary gently supports these organs, helping to lift them back into place and ease symptoms like vaginal pressure, discomfort, or heaviness. For women experiencing stress urinary incontinence, where urine leaks during movement, coughing, or exercise, a pessary can also help support the urethra and improve bladder control.
